Our Story
The Ocran Foundation was born from experience, compassion, and purpose.
Founder James Ocran grew up in a refugee camp in Ghana, where hunger, poor clothing, and lack of access to education were daily realities. Thanks to the sacrifices of his parents, he was given a new life, one that inspires his mission to reach back and uplift the children still facing those same struggles.
James’s early life shaped the values behind this foundation resilience, integrity, and service. Now a husband and father, he works with a devoted team to provide children with what every child deserves: dignity, hope, and opportunity.
